 My Arrange Marriage Rejection Story! I am 25 years old. Just like every typical Indian family, my family fixed my marriage due to the pressure built by influential Relatives by constantly bothering about my life in the name of concern because they believe that 25 is the deadline for getting married or else it will be too late to find a suitable partner. And only after marriage I will be tagged as a SETTLED woman! So, I did as they wished. There are many restrictions on women since ages that our ancestors might have made who were probably Men because they were not comfortable with women doing certain things in a certain way and wanted those things to be the way they desire! These rules or restrictions were made by them to feel superior, strong, and good about themselves.  They always believed that women are created to take care of them, give birth to their children and raise them. They always viewed women as an asset for their pleasure and believed they claim authority over them.  The reality is that such men are weak and insecure who dominate women to feel strong and good about themselves. We live in the 21st century and it's never too late to break the patriarchy. Stop teaching your daughters to adjust and behave instead of teaching your sons how to respect women.
